The mostly forgotten horror series The Others premiered 15 years ago today on NBC. This series about a group of people each with special abilities who investigated the weird and mysterious happenings across the country was cancelled after one season. At the time ,NBC had successful niche programming on Saturday nights with other series like Profiler and The Pretender but cancelled the lot when they needed the space for the XFL. The same XFL that was an utter failure and itself was gone after one season.
As far as I’m aware The Others has never been released on DVD nor is available on any of the streaming services. It’s a true forgotten little gem.
