Superman Lives Toy Concept Art

Superman Lives was the ill fated 1990s Superman movie that would have been directed by Tim Burton and starred Nicolas Cage. From the Superman: The Man of Steel Facebook page:

Thank you to Ben and Brian, who were product designers with Hasbro Toys Group, they’ve shared the artwork for the cancelled movie project “Superman Lives.” It’s great to see this part of Superman history revealed a bit more for the fans! Aside from the well circulated image of the black suit with the small \S/, these were other concepts developed both the movie and toy line platforms.

Prometheus (Alien Prequel?) Poster

I’m slightly disappointed in the design of the poster for the upcoming movie Prometheus. I like that this teaser poster is, as it were, “teasing” the movie by not revealing too much. But should it reveal more? Like, would the average movie-goer think the movie this poster is promoting is a film about future astronauts finding “something” in outer space? Or would they think this is about people with weird necks, it’s really part of a space suit, and flashlights looking at Easter Island-like statues?

Not bad, but not exactly something that makes all that excited about the movie.

Famous Movie Poster Rejects You’ve Never Seen

The collection includes over a hundred HUGE paintings and proofs, by a variety of well-known Hollywood poster artists, done in advance for the filmmakers behind Batman, the Fly, Witches of Eastwick, and a bunch of other biggies (as well as some not-so-biggies nonetheless of interest). Most of these are the REJECTED versions, although several sets include the actual final artwork, as photographed for the official posters.
