Phil's
M&M design in the "Zero G" environment
is a "common water molecule" as
opposed to his "dream woman".
The
"Zero G" dance between Woody and
Terri takes place to the tune of Sinatras'
"Fly Me to the Moon".
Luc
is forced to make repairs on his shelter on
Mars using Duct Tape (the habitat is damaged
when the astronauts are killed).
The
crew of Mars 2 is able to receive a message
from Luc en-route to Mars when he forms a
gigantic message using rocks and debris that
reads: "Bring Milk. 11/13".
They realize
that he was alive at least four days earlier.

Phil's
hand is punctured by the meteorite while he
and Terri are playing a computer game of Monopoly.
During
the micro-meteor strike on the Mars 2 ship,
it has multiple punctures that leak air not
just two.
There
are two explosions associated with the loss
of Mars 2. The crew is able to recover from
the first explosion when the second occurs.
This second explosion is extremely violent
and the astronauts are subjected to 10 "G's"
of force. This explosion destroys most of
the ship except for the command deck.

The
entire sequence between the abandoning of
Mars 2 and Woody's death remain the same from
the script to the movie.
A
sequence of a shocked crew of Mars 2 aboard
the REMO preparing the craft for entry to
Mars was cut from the finished film.
Cut
sequence of the violent landing of the REMO
onto the surface of Mars.
Cut
sequence of the REMO dragged along the ground
via its parachute and over a cliff. Terri
Fisher is injured and knocked unconscience.
Cut
sequence of the crew climbing up the cliff,
using suit jets to aid themselves.
Cut
sequence of the bearded Luc greeting the crew
of Mars 2 at the edge of the cliff.
