Written and directed by Mr. Gervais and Stephen Merchant, the creators of “The Office” and “Extras,” “Life’s Too Short” takes a documentary-style look at the life of Warwick Davis, the 3-foot-6-inch actor who starred in “Return of the Jedi,” “Willow” and the “Harry Potter” films – only in this fictionalized account, Mr. Davis is a self-promoting schemer who runs a talent agency as a front to keep his own acting career afloat.
