Magazine & Jerry O'Connell
This
morning's (Sunday) PARADE
magazine had a short article about Jerry O'Connell
costarring in the movie M2M. Unfortunately, it contains
many references to Britney Spears. ;-) 3.5.2000

Jerry O'Connell, ready
to go to Mars
|
At
11, Jerry O'Connell was picked out of a New York
public school to play the fat kid in Stand by Me.
After growing up, slimming down and graduating from
NYU in 1995, he spent four seasons on the sci-fi
series Sliders. Now he teams up with Gary
Sinise and Tim Robbins
in the film MISSION TO MARS. He plays a computer
specialist. "I'd read THE RIGHT STUFF",
says O'Connell, 26. "I thought of these guys
as yahoo pilots, but it's all scientific. And to
spend 40 hours in a spacesuit, you have to be in
tip-top shape."
On
location for six months in Vancouver, O'Connell
was the only single guy. "I ended up as the
designated babysitter," he says. "Gary
Sinise invited me to a Britney Spears concert with
his daughters. There were 40,000 screaming 12-year-old
girls. It was like putting your head inside a 747"
