Making Film has reported that Tom Cruise is set to star in DEATH RACE 3000. Paul "Mortal Combat" Anderson will direct this remake of the Roger Corman cult classic. The story follows race car drivers into accumulate points by running down pedestrians. New Line Cinema acquired the rights from Corman.

Jim Cameron has spoken about his next possible project entitled MARS (not associated with either of the films due in theaters next Summer). This film too deals with a stranded crew on the surface of the "Red Planet". Is there going to be a problem with three movies with almost the same plot-points coming out at the same time???

I found an image of this really neat STARSHIP TROOPER poster while shopping on eBay. It looks like it's Easter European by the writing on the front.

None-the-less, it's very cool.
