I put my resume out to several places and Sweetwater Sound, in Fort Wayne Indiana, replied to it a few weeks later. (Interestingly enough, I put my resume out on a Friday, and within two weeks I was sitting in front of a Mac creating an ad to go in the Football program of the University of Saint Francis). At Sweetwater, I designed over a dozen sub-sites for their web-site and created atleast as many print pieces. In the eight months that I worked there, I created several hundred web pages that are currently displayed on their web-site. I enjoyed going to work because I know that my designs might be seen by millions, in one week Sweetwater's site is hit around 21 million times! |
Then, in February of 1999, I was hired by Boyden and Youngblutt, also in Fort Wayne. There, my job was more web-specific and I was given the task of building, creating and maintaining web-sites for a client base as wide and diverse as Vera Bradley to Tim Allen Tools. I also worked on building the front end of eCommerce sites that sold items via the web. In this fast-paced environment I learned how to built web-sites extremely well and extremely fast. |
OTHER: Another "hobby" of mine is astronomy. I currently own an telescope with an aperture of 8 inches. I can observe the everything from the ice caps of Mars to the rings of Saturn. |
One hobby that some might find strange is that I actually enjoy building web-sites I have my own web-site, entitled DANGEROUS UNIVERSE. There I can experiment with design and present my opinions on current movie releases. For awhile, I actually updated the page EVERYDAY! This began to become too much work for me to accomplish everyday, so I stopped after a few months. Right now, I try to make updates to the site every week. |
