It only took about sixteen years for an idea in a small, canceled after one season, sci-fi show entitled "Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future" to make it to real life. In the television show, Maj. Matthew 'Hawk' Masterson would strap a winged rocket pack to his back and blast across a nuclear ravaged sky in search of Lord Dredd and his evil minions. Last week Felix Baumgartner strapped a winged pack on his back, abet not rocketed, and swooped from 30,000 feet over England to France.

I guess wild ideas that you see at the time as being not possible can really happen. 08/03/03
