I was very happy to learn that the upcoming HBO series Veep is co-written by Armando Iannucci and Simon Blackwell and directed by Iannucci. What, you don’t know Blackwell and Iannucci?! They were also responsible for the hilarious TV series Thick of It and film version In the Loop.

Captain Action Basic Action Figure Set Toy Review
The big pros here are the high quality accessories and outfit, the much better body, and the reasonable price.
Cons are the slightly sloppy paint, the small fist hands, the short sleeves on the outfit, and the slightly thick, bulky boots.
Mars Attacks Wall Graphics
These Mars Attacks wall graphics are nice, but I have to wonder the quality of the scans used to make them? Surly they were scanned from the original cards and those cards are very small. So I can’t imaging blowing a tiny card up to a huge size makes for a clear, sharp scan.
The Complete Dark Shadows
A DVD set of every episode of the TV series/soap opera Dark Shadows is set to be released later this spring containing all 1,200+ episodes. It costs a cool $600 but that’s just $2 an episode. 😉
