Tom KO's Val in Two Rounds, Part 2

First of all, let me fill you in on the origin of these eMails:

I receive these eMails from someone just intending on filling ME in on the details of the happenings occurring on the set of RED PLANET. The eMailer (aka the "Battle Scarred Crew Member") DID NOT WANT his/her eMail posted and I had to literally beg to post his/her message.

You can be the judge of the eMail's validity, believe it or not.

Thanks goes to the "Battle Scarred Crew Member" and Stax, for the script review. 2/10/99

EMAIL 1

Just read the script review of 'Red Planet' on your site... the script the reviewer read was a very old copy, it went through several more revisions before film saw any light of day. It ended up being scripted by Chuck Pfarrer instead of Lemkin, although most of the basic elements stayed intact.

“Realistically, the film will more than likely be horrible.”

His basic review was more or less accurate, expect Armaggedon and you won't be too terribly surprised. The biggest problem the film faces is that the script really went out the window when we got to set, Kilmer just kind of made up whatever he wanted to do and Anthony really didn't have any power to do anything about it. So when Kilmer and Sizemore began having their spat- and they did, believe me, script went bye-bye to logistics.

They started shooting whatever they could to have the story still make sense. Sizemore even began to demand that his character shouldn't die as the script dictates. Try to work that one out. Realistically, the film will more than likely be horrible. I do have a copy of the script but I really shouldn't let it get out of my hands until the film is released, just to cover my ass.

I just thought you'd like the info. Good luck....

EMAIL 2

I just reread my message... you can post it if you like, just be sure to have no inclusion of my name, please. I have a lot more dirt about the production... some of which really is hard to believe... but true, since I witnessed it firsthand. This was the second film I did with Val and the second one where it became a free-for-all. When I have more time I'll spill the beans, it's good dirt.
